told you it was the weekends that were boring, i had lots of excitement today. was supposed to go swimming today. however it was raining and spoiled the plans nelson and i had.
i had a hard time waking up, almost overslept but woke up just in time. i went to an elderly home a few blocks away with yingxuan trying to volunteer ourselves to work there. finally we managed to volunteer ourselves and doing something charitable. also, it was because of nyaa that forced us to volunteer.
fortunately, the rain poured before i left to meet nelson at the swimming complex. so we decided to change our plans and go to bugis to fix nelson's bag. the uncle there just used a caribbeana to hook the sling and the bag together, temporary fixing it. he said that if it needs proper fixing, he would have to leave his bag there for 3 days, causing inconvenience. so we just left with the caribbeana in place and his bag temporarily fixed. his bag was spoilt months ago, and he decided to change a new bag. after seeing the uncle fix it so easily, he kept blaming himself.
next, we ate at the food junction, which was quite costly, an average meal about $5. the food was alright but slightly expensive. after eating, we went to window shop. nelson wanted to buy a new bag and shoes but could not find a suitable one, and he kept grumbling about it. since we were meeting zhonghao at sembawang, i told him to go there and try shopping at sun plaza.
unexpectedly, there was practically nothing to see there. it was quite empty, and we had even went to the library to relieve ourselves of boredom. we ate lots of snacks, trying to kill time while waiting for zhonghao's arrival. finally, after being 1 hour and 15 minutes late, he arrived. being kind, we decided to let him off.
we went to his house to slack. we watched tv, played computer which were for a short while. most of the time we were in his room playing monopoly. guess who won, it's ME! we then had dinner at his house which we told him not to prepare but still he did. so we had to help finish the food.
after dinner, i came back home and ate another round of dinner. my father pack the fish porridge from my grandmother house and i had to eat it too. growing real fat soon!
daddy, thank you for such a wonderful day. i pray that people around me will be happy too. take away their sadness, worriedness and angriness away and just let them be happy. amen.
