ogl workshop day 3+ birthday+ bugis+ swimming+ saturday studying+ 159 outing+ etc.
woah! i have not blog for almost a week already. im beginning to find blogging such a chore. it's like i have to go online everyday to blog about my day which i feel quite lazy. i will try to force myself to blog more frequently if possible. SORRY TO ALL THE READERS OUT THERE FOR NOT UPDATING FOR QUITE AWHILE!!!
let me start from where i left off. it was ogl workshop day 3 which was on the 5th of december. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME! it was time for flag painting where we painted our clan flag which looked beautiful and unique. during lunch, my fellow ogls and staje members sang me a birthday song. im so touched and surprised by their actions. sometimes i really wonder am i really worth remembering, or should i be left alone, singing my own birthday song to myself and just buy myself a gift.
we also learned to dance to borriquito and practised the previous few dances a few times. the rest of the time was spent on the learning of orientation song, games and most importantly forfeits. forfeits are the most important to the games we played. we came up with a few embarassing forfeits which im proud to say that i did not attain it.
after the workshop, brenda, jocelyn, nelson, wanchin and i went to celebrate my birthday at sumo house. we were laughing like mad people who came out from mental hospital. we kept laughing non-stop with nelson going on about his pregnant fishand brenda being pregnant after eating it. jocelyn was some mountain tortoise who did not know how the pregnant fish had eggs inside them. we soon parted our ways after dinner.
i received quite a few presents which really make me happy. i really appreciate the thought that all my fwens put in to buy the presents.
the following day, i met nelson at bugis where he wanted to find some shoe. first we ate at the food court as we were very hungry, then we walked for quite long and far looking for his shoes. we went from bugis junction to bugis street then to og and then back to bugis junction. in the end, we could not find his shoe and decided to give up. we went to his auntie's shop where we both cut our hair. following that, we went to toa payoh central to buy munchy donuts and ate till we were quite full. soon, we decided to go home to have our dinner.
on friday, i had to go to the home to volunteer my services where yingxuan and i washed the chairs, dustbins and hang up the curtains. i feel that washing dustbins are worse than washing toilets, dustbins are much much dirtier than the toilets. after having lunch with her at the food court, i went to meet nelson to go swimming at yio chu kang. it was freezing in the water, even though i swam for awhile, i still felt cold. after an hour of swimming, we went to nyp to eat tea and did our homework there. not completing much but we felt bored, we decided to go back home.
it's saturday, i met wanchin at dhoby ghaut to do homework and watch enchanted which she has been dragging her promise for a few weeks. we did our work at mos burger where we ate our breakfast cum lunch there. we started work soon after finishing eating and i managed to finish 9 chemistry questions before we got chased out by a lady who was working there. at first we did not want to leave, but as we do not want to embarrass ourself again if the lady were to ask us to leave, we decided to leave and do some window shopping.
she's also another mountain tortoise who did not see many things in plaza singapura and cathay, so i decided to be her tour guide and tour her around. we walked till it was time for the movie to start and we went in. we were complaining about the number of things we had to carry when we bought food in, being clumsy and careless. after watching the show, i feel that it was quite entertaining and interesting. though the ending was expected, the storyline was good. so all of you out there who loves fairytale MUST watch!
next, i went to church where the pastor preached about god remembering us. though we may feel that god have forgotten us when we are going through trials or having unanswered prayer, he has promised us that he will never leave us, he cares for us and loves us.
yesterday, i went with my cousin to orchard to shop for present. he made me wait for almost an hour for him which i wasted my time. we then went to takashimaya to eat kfc where we shared a buddy meal and almost could not finish up all the food. next i literally went looking high and low for a present where i went up and down the escalator to find the shop. finally i managed to find it and bought a present for my fwen. next we went to cineleisure where he bought 2 shirts where one design has the word 'happy' and the other 'emo'. i find it quite lame to own these 2 shirts.
next, i went for a badminton game where i played a few games with my cell group members. i had quite a lot of fun there. now my hand is aching and in pain. to think i still can type such a long post.
finally, today, i had to go to the home again where i had to scrub and mop the floor, now my back is also aching. i talked to a few of the residents there and managed to learn more about them.
next, i went to meet fiona at dhoby ghaut where we went to secret recipe to eat a slice of cake. IT WAS HER BIRTHDAY TODAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY FIONA! following that we went to the central to window shop and we walked around looking at all the shops, most are not open yet. we then went to chinatown point where fiona bought a few christmas presents. we then walked to og where once again we just looked instead of paying.
we then walked to clarke quay where we took a train then buses to botak jones which was located in toa payoh. managed to surprise fiona when she saw kartik, yingxuan and zhenyang there. she received present from all of us. also to my surprise, they celebrated my birthday there and then. im so totally touched and grateful for these fwens that i have. they bought both of us a mango and oreo cheesecake which were delicious. i shared with fiona a burger meal which in the end we could not finish. to think that kartik said he wanted more fries. we talked till we almost forgot the time to go back. i really love them. 159 rocks!
daddy, thank you for blessing me with such wonderful fwens, fwens who never forget birthdays and treasures our relationship together. i also pray that my friends will have their wish fulfilled and those who are overseas will enjoy themselves. for those with probems, i pray that you would give them wisdom to solve it. also, i pray that you will always be there for me and not leave me alone. amen.
